Welcome to the online expression of Connie Tameling Photography. I specialize in children and family lifestyle portraits. Instead of placing an emphasis on studio lighting, unfamiliar props and staged posing, I strive to make the experience fun for your family as we go in search of warm, natural lighting (indoors or out) that can so beautifully highlight your family's features. I am available to photograph on location in and around the western suburbs of Chicago, as well as in my own spacious backyard that contains many established trees and two beloved tree swings.

I love engaging your children in the fun of play and then recording their natural responses and expressions. When a session is complete, it is always my joy and privilege to provide families with visual images that truly capture the essence of who they are at that moment in time.

I adore photographing children of all ages, but I have to tell you that newborns bring me joy beyond words. Photographing them within the first 3 weeks is ideal (but not a necessity) and I do most newborn photoshoots in the family's home where feeding, changing and comfort is given top priority.

And, moms, as you prepare for the arrival of your little one, don't forget to capture images of your growing belly. It would be my pleasure to help you beautifully record this memory and create images you are proud to share with your family for years to come. Trust me, you will NEVER remember all the details of your changing body as you grow to carry this miracle of life. Maternity photos are such a gift to the child you are nurturing inside.

If you are looking for something outside the norm . . . beyond the conventional senior or teen portrait, I am your girl. I love to photograph in the natural, outdoor setting, but with teens I also like to mix it up a bit with some urban grunge. I've got a great beat on a good set of railroad tracks, some nearby alleys and other settings that help to capture that teen spirit.
